Size guide
We size by body measurement, not by the number on a birthday cake. Take three measurements with a soft tape, match them to the band below, and you will get it right the first time.

Between two sizes? Always size up.
Our trousers carry adjustable waist tapes and our dresses have deep let-down hems, so the larger size fits comfortably now and still fits after the next growth spurt. Sizing down is the single most common reason a parcel comes back to us.
Measurement tables
Choose an age band. Every figure is the child’s body measurement in centimetres.
Newborns vary enormously in the first eight weeks. If your baby is over 3.5 kg at birth, start at 0–3M rather than NB.
Still in nappies at night? Toddler bottoms are cut 2 cm wider through the seat than the kids band at the same height.
Where a child is tall for their age, follow height first and take the chest measurement as the tie-breaker.
Juniors sizes overlap the kids band deliberately. Same height, narrower cut — pick juniors for a neater line, kids for room to move.
How to measure
Four measurements, two minutes, a soft tape. Measure over vest and pants rather than over clothes, and keep the tape snug without pulling.
-
Step 1
Height
Barefoot, heels and back against a wall, chin level. Mark the top of the head and measure to the floor. This is the number that decides the size.
-
Step 2
Chest
Around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, with arms relaxed at the sides. Keep the tape level all the way round the back.
-
Step 3
Waist
The narrowest point, roughly at the belly button. Ask for a normal breath out — not held in, not pushed out. Two fingers should slide under the tape.
-
Step 4
Inside leg
From the top of the inner thigh straight down to the ankle bone. Use it to check trouser length when your child is between two heights.
Fit notes by category
How each part of the range actually behaves on a moving child.
- Dresses & party wearGenerous through the skirt, true to chest measurement. Lined bodices sit close, so take the chest figure seriously rather than the age.
- T-shirts & topsRelaxed, with a dropped shoulder. If your child dislikes anything close to the neck, size up — the neckline widens proportionally.
- Bottoms & joggersElasticated with an internal adjustable tape from size 2Y up. Choose on waist first, then check the inside leg for length.
- OuterwearCut one layer larger by design so a jumper fits underneath. Order your usual size; sizing up here leaves the sleeves too long.
- Rompers & nightwearSized to height because the length matters most. Snug-fit sleepwear is intentionally close — it is a safety standard, not a small make.
- Co-ord & matching setsBoth halves are cut to the same band. If chest and waist land in different sizes, buy the larger and let the waist tape do the work.
