AV Fashion began in a two-bedroom flat in Indiranagar with one stubborn complaint: everything beautiful fell apart, and everything durable was dull. So we started making the third option — organic, properly finished kidswear in colour that refuses to apologise.

Our mission
Make the best-made thing in the drawer also the most worn
Children do not treat clothes gently, and they should not have to. Our job is to build garments that can be climbed in, spilled on and washed forty times without fading into something you hide at the back of the wardrobe.
That means better fabric than the price suggests, tagless necks, flat seams, reinforced knees and grading generous enough to carry a child through a growth spurt. Premium, to us, is measured in wears — not in packaging.

Our cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides on GOTS-certified farms in Gujarat and Maharashtra, spun in Coimbatore and cut in a Bengaluru unit we visit every month. We can name every stage, because we have stood in every one of them.

Nine months, four stages
How we make it
Every collection follows the same slow route. Nothing ships until it has survived all four stages — including the one run by actual children.

Sketch & swatch
We start with a mood board, a colour story and a shortlist of fabrics. Roughly a third of ideas never make it past the swatch table — usually because the handfeel disappoints.

Knit, weave & dye
Certified organic yarn is knitted or woven to our GSM, then dyed in small lots. Every lot is wash-tested for shrinkage and colour-fastness before a single panel is cut.

Cut, sew & finish
Flatlock seams, twin-needle hems, tagless labels and bar-tacked stress points. Our tailors have been with us since the first hundred pieces and they sign off each run.

Play-tested, then packed
A panel of forty families wears each style for a month. If it pills, gapes or itches, it goes back to stage one. What passes is packed in recycled paper and posted.
